The Beaver team participated to the 3rd edition of Cyber World CleanUp Day

Our team is proud to have participated to the Cyber World CleanUp Day

Our team is proud to have participated to the Cyber World CleanUp Day from March 14 to 17 for the world day of data cleaning & second life of digital equipment.

The objective is to raise awareness and take concrete action by encouraging each and every one of us to participate in two types of operations:

● A “Cyber CleanUp Data” – to clean up data stored on our equipment and in the clouds.

● An “Equipment Cyber CleanUp” – to collect digital equipment for reuse, reconditioning or recycling.

But why being concerned ?

If digital is the source of great progress, its acceleration is worrying for the environment. Digital is responsible for 4% of global greenhouse gas emissions today, and it is estimated that by 2025 this digital pollution will double!

Adverse impacts are to be considered at all stages of the life cycle of digital equipment (from its manufacture above all, to its end of life through its use).

The cleaning of our digital data has saved 14 kilos of CO2, the equivalent of more than 8000 km by TGV.

Cyber World CleanUp Day takes place every year on the 3rd Saturday of March.
